The Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail presents the “Legacy Series”. Legacy is competitive fishing for the next generation and offers an exciting opportunity for both Adult and Junior fishermen. For 2008 the “Legacy Series” will consist of tournaments in 35 Divisions located in 26 states featuring exclusive Adult/Junior competition. Each Legacy Division will conduct a minimum of two tournaments scheduled during the “prime time” of fishing in their respective areas. Tournaments will be preceded by one of our popular Friday night pre-tournament meetings where anglers and their families receive a free meal, hear an inspirational message and have the opportunity to win valuable door prizes.

To participate, a team must consist of one angler who has reached his/her 19th birthday before Sept 10th 2008 and one angler who has not reached his/her birthday before Sept 10th 2008. The Membership fee for Legacy participants is $25 per team which covers the adult and any junior member. Also, any Team series adult member holding a $50 Gold Memberships is eligible to fish a Legacy event with a junior angler.

Tournament entry fees for the Legacy events are $75 per tournament, making them affordable for the budget minded family. Tournament payout is based on the number of entries, with the top 1/3 of the field and first and second place big bass earning a check. Also in 2008 Fishers of Men will conduct three Legacy Championship events at different locations around the country. Any Legacy team that fishes one Division event is qualified to fish any or all of the Championships. Championship dates for 2008 are June 20th & 21st, July 18th & 19th and August 8th & 9th. The Entry fee for Championship Events will be $75. Locations for the tournaments will be announced as soon as they are available. Each event will be preceded by two days of official practice preceded by a one week off-limits period. First place at each of these Championship events will be a Triton Aluminum/Mercury Outboard package.

To register complete the Legacy membership application and mail it to the Director of the Division you plan to participate in. Dates and locations for meetings and tournaments are posted on the web.
