Texas East kicked off the third event of the 2026 season at long time supporter of our division, FBC Hemphill. Our team prepared food and prizes for approximately 300 of our friends and family. We were blessed with BBQ sandwiches and some of the most amazing Best Stop sausage that will ever hit your tastebuds! We are so blessed to have The Best Stop as a ministry partner! All of their specialty meats are second to none! The spirit was moving as Brandon Watson, Pastor, Moberly Baptist Church, Longview, shared his heart with our folks. Many decisions were made and our folks shared multiples of prayer requests of critical issues that many are facing. Our team prayed over each of the requests as our teams were on the water.
Saturday morning found us at SRA Sabine Town rigging up for our weigh in. The weather was almost perfect so we were anticipating some fantastic catches. Sure enough, Toledo didn’t disappoint! When it was all said and done, the team of Maguire Parker and Nickalas Wadsworth brought home the win with a sack that tipped the scales at 32.53, with a 9.63 kicker! Second place went to one of our young anglers fishing solo, Jace Lindsay, with a 30.38 stringer. Rounding out the top three was the team of Riley Harris and Zachary Friesz with a 26.91 bag. Ethan Howe took home the Big Bass honors with a 9.78 toad! We also gave out lots of bonus dollars. So many ways to win!!
Stop #4 finds us back on Sam Rayburn where even though the water is low, our anglers are reporting the lake on fire! Please stay on mission and invite, invite, invite!
