Pasquotank River Tournament Results

The North Carolina East Division held their second Team Series tournament on the Pasquotank River June 20, 2020. 25 teams launched from the Elizabeth City Waterfront Park boat launch in search of the winning bag of fish. The threat of thunderstorms loomed on the horizon with temperatures in the lower 70’s with a high in the upper 80’s predicted. Division Director Pat Seigh offered a prayer before the teams departed praising God for the beauty of his creation and thanking him for his blessing to allow us to enjoy his creation, remembering that all we do is for the glory and honor of Jesus.

With the threat of storms, our teams encountered some rough water and torrential down pours throughout the day. These conditions made running out of the Pasquotank River to the rivers of Albemarle Sound challenging. 25 teams brought 91 Bass to the scales that weighed 242.45 pounds. The average team weight was 9.70 pounds and the average fish weight was 2.66 pounds. When the weigh-in concluded, David Parker and Darren Saunders brought in an impressive five fish limit that weighed 18.92 pounds for first place, which included a nice 5.75 pound kicker fish. They received $1,155.00 dollars for their days work including first place for the tournament and first place bonus bucks $300.00. Coming in second place was Kirk Wall and Charlie Reed, with another nice bag of fish that weighed 18.47 pounds that included a 6.06 pound fish. They received $510.00 dollars for second place, $180.00 for second place bonus bucks. Third place honors went to the team of William Jordon and Eugene Foushee, with a five bass limit that weighed 18.06 pounds. They took home $340.00 dollars for third place and $120.00 dollars for third place bonus bucks. Fourth place honors went to the team of Tommy Banks and Bubba Banks who brought in a five fish limit that weighed 17.83 pounds. They received $220.00 for fourth place. Fifth Place honors went to Al Biagioni and John LaRock for their five fish limit that weighed 15.32 pounds. They received $150.00 dollars for their efforts. The big fish for the tournament was brought in by the team of William Jordon and Eugene Foushee. They received $125.00 dollars for weighing an 8.41 pound fish.
