What a fun event for our first visit to the Rappahannock river!

There were some challenges that arose trying to get the event going but we pushed through and made it happen! Fishers of Men Virginia East would like to give a huge thanks to Ferry Farm Baptist Church for welcoming us in Friday night for the meeting. 2021 has proven to be a challenge as everyone returns to in person gatherings and we are so thankful they welcomed us in !

A beautiful day greeted the 24 teams on the river as we launched, and the teams set out to a fairly unkown tidal fishery. The fishing turned out pretty good for our first stop there and for many anglers that didnt get a chance to practice, the first time they lid eyes on the water!

At the end of the day the team of Travis Law and Mike Aldridge put the puzzle together and topped the fiels wit a total weight of 14.85lbs! Coming in second and making the last few minutes of weigh-in exciting was the team of John Koren and Gavin Stone with 14.47lbs. They have been an extremely consistant team this seasn finishing near the top at every event. Third went to the team of Brian Barth and Eddie Confer with a total of 12.50lbs. The team of Jay Griffin and Doug Wharton rounded out the money spots wit a 12.35lb bag, they are alway contenders no matter the body of water we go to.

Again, the Virginia East team is so thankful for all of you who choose to fish with us, and grateful for your patience on this event as we worked through changes in ramp location!

We look forward to seeing you all for our final points event of the season on 6/26 on the Chickahominy River, We will be hosted by RockaHock campground and the Friday meeting will be at their clubhouse!

We've got a pretty good points battle going on with 3 or 4 teams that could take the top spot and earn the birth to the 2022 national championship!

The top 20 teams will also get invited to our (non-points) East vs West tournament where we'll try to win the cup back from Va West. that will be held in October here on the Chickahominy River!
