Texas East's third stop found us at the Hemphill High School Gym.  This was the first time in this venue and it was fantastic as 350 of our friends and family came together for food and fellowship.  Special thanks goes out to Stephen English, Hemphill ISD Superintendant, for the use of the facility.  Skero Furniture, our signature sponsor for this event, provided the BBQ and our team once again excelled in their service to our division members and guests.  We were blessed by the words of Chris Wells, BASS Chaplain, and the spirit moved in a mighty way as 14 men and women surrendered their lives to Christ for the first time. 

Saturday’s weather was perfect and we saw multiple teams come to the scales with five fish limits.  In the end it was the legacy team of Richard and Cole Moore proving to be true sticks on Toledo as they brought a winning sack of 27.04 to win our $10,000.00 first place money.  Coming in second and also having the big bass of the day was the team of Cole Stewart and Marshall Hughes with a bag weighing 19.91 and having a 9.99 kicker to win big bass honors.  Rounding out the top three were the team of Terry and Gwen Reed, who also won for the highest placing M/F, with a stringer that tipped the scales at 19.38.
