The first ournament of the year is in the books. The Blue Eagle Credit Union Smith mountain Lake tournament was a cold windy Day but there were some big bags regardless.
The weekend started with a great meeting at Palistine Baptist Church. They always make us feel at home and the meal they provided was excellent!
The message was brought to us by Pastor Manning and was a important reminder of the need of everyone to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Tournament morning was cold and windy and 31 teams blasted off for a chance at the $2600+ first place prize That included the extra $1000 given by Blue Eagle Credit Union. At the End the team of Steve Crist and Dennis Stump topped the field with 23.9! 2nd place with another good bag of 22.8 was the team of Ralph and Justin Hicks. 3rd place was the team of Taft Durr and Jon simmons with a good bag of 21.51. 4th was the team of Chris and Matt Atkins with a bag of 20.46 5th place was the team of Chad Green and Johnny Martin with a bag of 17.32 6th place was the team of Jason Lee and AJ Smith with a bag of 17.31. Just out of the money rods were won by the team of Ricky Grant and Greg Stallings. Greg Stallings also had the big fish of the tournament with a 9 pounder!
