Jarrett Freeze and Rodney Adams win the first stop of the FOM NC Piedmont division.
Thanks to Curtis Cox and North Albemarle Baptist Church for being a great host for our first event of the season. We had 71 teams that enjoyed a barbeque dinner. MLF Pro Andy Montgomery was our speaker for the night. Andy gave his powerful testimony. When speaking of his grandpa and dad they lived their testimony each day of their lives for all those around them to see. If you are a born again believer then you have a testimony and God will or has given you a platform to share it.
We blasted off 71 boats to a beautiful spring morning. As the boats came into the weigh-in it was apparent that fish were not biting all over the lake. Over 40 teams brought in a limit while several teams found it difficult to get a bite. The team of Jarrett Freeze and Rodney Adams weighed in 20.18 pounds to take first place and winnings of $4,650. They reported catching their fish on spinnerbaits and jigs dirt shallow. 2nd place went to Casey Hissim and Dakota Garner with 16.38 lbs. and winnings of $1,590. 3rd place went to Chris Coble and Jim Long with 15.65 lbs. and winnings of $1,260. 4th place went to Ronnie Smith and Randy Weddington with 15.30 lbs. and winnings of $700. 5th place went to Rodney Eller and Mike Sides with 15.09 lbs. and winnings of $500. Rounding out the teams in the money are 6th place Michael Kinard/Aaron Harwood. 7th Alan Griffin/Kevin Chandler. 8th CJ Johnston/Matt Stanley. 9th Bart and Wyatt Hill. Tied for 10th was Chad Poteat/Maurice Freeze and the team of Adam Edwards. 12th Robin Collins/Ronnie White. 13th Weston Lineberry/Jordan Taylor. 14th Mark Murphy/Jarrett Albright.
I want to thank our staff for all their help and thank all of you for fishing with us the season. Our next tournament is March 18th on High Rock.
The Team of Ricky Rhodes and Bobby Williams won the team out of the money drawing and will receive a free entry into one tournament.
Gavin Preslar won the Rock Outdoors $50 gift certificate for the highest finishing youth.
Steve Sink won the Legends $150 gift certificate from Rock Outdoors.
The team of Bart and Wyatt Hill won the $250 gift certificate for the highest placing team in a new boat purchased from Rock Outdoors in the last 36 months.
Remember if you fish all five tournaments you will be in the drawing for $1,000 and you can fish all divisional championships. Also, our NC Piedmont points champion this season is estimated to receive over $1,700.
