What an amazing first event for the 2020 Season. We had 24 teams show up to compete on a very windy Lake Buchanan. Teams competed in mild temps but extremely windy conditions with a straight on North Wind. The big lake gets a little rough during times of high winds. Cross and Spurs Cowboy Church hosted our anglers on Friday nght, Pastor Johnny Sawyer spoke to the anglers and gave a great message . Teams got their bellies full on BBQ provided by the wonderful folks at the church. Saturday they launched and were off to find 5 big ones. Logan Clark and Travis Cockerman won the event with a total weight of 15.87, Bruce Davis and Chad Thiel placed second with a total weight of 15.11, Third place went to Clyde Glenn and Garrett Hennig with 14.37, and fourth went to Hal Gatewood and Jared Pool with a sack weighing 13.51. Big Bass Honors went to Luke Bingham (age 12) with a 5.48lb bucket mouth. Bonus Bucks were paid out to the top three teams respectively and Cast for Cash top winner was Ron Chance and Daryl Branham, Allen and Leisha Loggains secured the second place Cast for Cash. Was an amazing time!
