Welcome to our 3rd event of the season!

Where:  Vandelia Ramp, Stonewall Jackson Lake

Today anglers battled morning rain while they tried to get a bite.  Fishing was tough for most of the field. Lots of teams struggled to catch fish, and only 3 limits were caugth total.  The bass have been on and off beds for the last few weeks, so trying to keep up and finding the fish has been a puzzle.  Some are post, some are pre while a wave is moving in showing themselves nut not wanting to bite.  A few anglers found some on beds, while most struggled to get a bite.

Congrats to Maurice Parent and Mike Harrah who came into town and captured first place with a solid bag of bass weighing in at 18 lbs even.  In the tough conditions we saw, this bag was hard to find!  They found their bites off beds and some reaction bites on top water.

2nd place finishers are a new team, Trevor and Sean Shaffer who brought 4 bass in for 16.91 lbs!  These guys found a nice area they said and almost all their bass was in a small hundred yard stretch.   They also landed big fish of 5.72 lbs! 

Dave Crawford(who has been with FOM since their first event 26 years ago) and Kevin Schoenadel captured 3rd place with 11.62 lbs. They were one of the only 3 teams to weigh a limit in.  Great job guys!
