Event 5 is held on one of our Trails most enjoyed, Chautauqua lake. The lake has been heavily sprayed last few years, making fishing more difficult then previous years, plus making fishing more difficult to find the fish.  BUT good news!!  I was told by NY DEC that the southern part of the lake(below the bridge) is  now in a conservation program and they are not allowed to spray!!  THIS IS HUGE GREAT NEWS FOR THE FISHERY!  Not sure if cutting will still be allowed( which im sure will have to) but cutting doesnt kill em, spraying does!  Northern end is open for spraying, so not sure what that will bring for the North end..   

Looking forward to this event as always.  Expecting great memories and bags to be brought in!  Love seeing those big brown smallmouth mixed in with giant northern largies!
