Hello Everyone, Texas South Classic had its first Tournament today (Jan. 25) on Coleto Creek Lake in Victoria, Tx. We had 13 Teams enter and fish our first event of the year. Everyone was able to make the Registration meeting for some great fellowship and food. Tournament morning was a crisp and cool 34 deg., But warmed up to the upper 60's by weigh in time. It Started to Drizzle about 2:00 PM and the Wind pickup a little and So did the Bite. Fishing was very good for most for a January on Coleto. Congragulations to Rick Shock and Clayton Heldt who topped the field with 19.82 lbs and their stringer was anchored by a 6.66 big bass. Claude and Jennifer Sims was 2nd with 12.49 and a team of young guns Blaine Tupa and Jackson Burris came in third with11.63. All 13 Teams Weighed fish today, which is a very good testiment to the quality of fishermen we have here in South Texas. Hotel Information:
The Best Western or Antler Inn, in Goliad, Tx. There are a number of Hotels in Victoria, Tx.
Anyone needing to park there boat for the night, that is not confortable leaving it at the motel can contact the assist director/Chaplin- Tony Chance and make arrangements to park it at his Residence (it is near the lake) (361)571-6380 1858 Fannin Oaks, Victoria, Tx. 77905. There power for charging batteries. (You will need an extension cord ).
