Then meeting. 1 Corinthians 13:1-8a&11-13 NIV 13 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. All we can do for Christ is for naught if we don't love like Jesus did. How can I judge one for doing the same things I used to be guilty of? Bible says first get the plank out of my eye before I can get speck out of others eye. Love is patient, love is kind, it does not boast, not proud, don't envy. I have to look at my life and see if it lines up with scripture. Not dishonor others, not self-seeking, not easily angered, keeps no record of wrongs. Does that sound like me I have to ask myself. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth, I have to ask myself does that sound like me? Do I like to see people get what I think they got coming to them because they are not doing what I think they should be.? Love always protects, always trust, always hopes, always preserves. Love never fails. Do I fail Jesus by not being the son he wants me to be. Let's all ask ourselves the tough question ? Lord Jesus do I need to repent and come back to the cross. Allow Jesus to fill our hearts so we share him with a lost and dieing world. Lord Jesus forgive me for not loving as you love me. Forgive me for thinking I'm better than others. Thank you Lord for your forgiveness. Please fill me with your love and use me to help grow your kingdom. I love you Jesus and I'm going to allow you to use me in whatever you want.
