What a great start to championship season!
We wrapped up the District 4 Championship presented by Realtree Fishing on Falls Lake and qualified our first batch of anglers for the National Championship on Lake Hartwell this spring! Day 2 started overcast and threatening rain all day. Temperatures stayed steady and the humidity was up, multi day tournaments are all about adjustments and who would make the best ones.
The team of Steve Summers and Jason Thomas, our day one leaders, again brought in the largest bag of the day with 21.06 to give them a two day total of 47.11lbs and title of 2022 District 4 Champions! Congratulations guys, what a solid weekend!
In second place was Michael Coley and Alan Thompson with two very consistant days of fishing and a two day total of 35.37lbs. They also brough in the big fish for day 2 which was a beautiful 7.67lb Largemouth!
Third place went to the team of Jesse Wise and Josh Ballard, they finished the weekend with 34.60lbs.
Fourth was Paul Rogers and Rod Garrett with 31.04lbs, and the team of Mark Murphy and Jarrett Albright was in fifth with 30.22lbs.
Again what a great start to championship season as we begin to fill the roster for our 2023 National Championship!
