Our first Legacy Tournament was a success. Seventeen adult / junior teams joined us at Lake Laramie.
On Saturday morning it was a little cool, but the launch went off at safe light as planned. At 1:00 all the teams returned to the launch site and trailed to the meeting location at one of Lake Laramie’s shelters. Due to the crazy weather, we have had this Spring, fishing was a little tough but the team of Ed and Carter Elliot, who have fished with us for a few years, found a limit of five bass weighing 6.06 pounds and won our first tournament. Thanks to Ed and Elliot for fishing with us and congratulations to them for their win. Second place went to the team of Tony and Kaleb Sielschott with 5.86 pounds. In third was Zac and Isaiah Mumford who brought 5.24 pounds to the scales, in fourth with 5.16 pounds was Dave and Aaron Faler, fifth place went to Brady Rudasill and Trace Casemier with 5.14 pounds which included the 3.93 tournament big bass. Our bonus place winner was Jason and Jaymin Parent with 3.25 pounds.
After the weigh in everyone enjoyed, all they could eat, Gary Sindelir’s famous grilled hot dogs, many prizes and a great spiritual message from Jamie Bundy about our decisions and how they change as time goes by with the most important decision to follow Jesus.
To me all the teams are winners. Thanks for taking a kid fishing.
