Ocean Wave's Lake Sinclair Tournament #1

     Wow is all that I can say. There were many first with the Ocean Waves Sunglasses Lake Sinclair Tournament. The Friday night meeting was at the Northpoint Baptist Church. Kim Carver out did himself hosting us. I can not remember the last time I ate so much food. The baked chicken literally fell off of the bone. Tommy Odum is our new chaplain and he brought a great message. Now for the first's. We had amazing weather, it was the first tournament that I have hosted in January or February that it was not freezing cold, high winds or post front. Now of course it there was a small rain shower that lasted about 15 minutes but that was it. The first place team is another first. The team of Mike Smith and Randy Johnson brought 16.44 pounds to the scale with a 6.87 kicker. They beat all of the local hammers :). What is special to me and for them winning is the fact the Mike Smith was in a terrible car accident about a year and half ago. He is not 100% from the accident and this is the first tournament that he has fished since the accident. I don't think there is anyone that was more deserving in winning the tournament.
