SC Upstate had 29 Teams in our Kickoff event for 2025 on Lake Russell.
This was a ONE DAY event due to being postponed from 1/11 for weather.
Sat morning proved to be still chilly and wet, but not as nasty as the original planned date for this event.
Steve Cox, our Chaplain, gave a devotion before blast off focusing in on Proverbs 3:5-6 (TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND DO NOT LEAN ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING. IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, AND HE WILL MAKE STRAIGHT YOUR PATHS)
There is so much to take away from those verses and to live by, especially as anglers. Steve related our "trust" in modern ectronics on the water to how we should treat the Bible and Jesus. We can trust Him, and we can gain daily perspective if we would allow him to infuence our thoughts and actions.
