SC Upstate finished up the season on Clark Hill with 31 boats completing.
Abbeville First Baptist is an amazing host. Their men's ministry team support this event, and it is always so good to see them when we visit.
Chris Wells shared a message that compared Fishermen (any men) to Blind Bartemaus. As the story goes, when Jesus came by the place that Bartemaus was, Bartemaus cried out to Jesus hoping to have an encounter with him. This "hope" and realization that Jesus was his ONLY source of HELP. When Jesus asked to have Bartemaus come to him, Bartemaus immediatly threw his coat down (all he owned or needed to survive on his own) and went to Jesus. After Jesus healed him, he could not stop telling people about Jesus and how Bartemaus' FAITH had healed him.
So the end of the season question is how do YOU relate to this story. Maybe you have NEVER had an encounter with Jesus. If you haven't, its as easy as realizing WHO Jesus is... our ONLY HOPE... THE source of HELP. We would love the chance to talk with you about our Faith. Or maybe you have already had that initial encounter with Jesus, and you have accepted his free gift of salvation. Now you find yourself going through the motions of life, trying to get through on your own, and not completely living in a way that reflects what Christ really is in you life... YOUR TRUE SOURCE OF HELP. Do you find yourself talking more about fishing than sharing what Christ is or can do for you. He gave his life so that WE may have the FREE GIFT of ETERNAL life. Join me in sharing that faith with others.
If you have any prayer needs, please contact Steve or myself, and we would be happy to pray with you.
Saturday weather was a little shotty, but thankfully the forecast didn't come true. We only had some mild rain and overcast skies.
Our Points race came down to this last event, and JOE ANDERS & GREG GLOUSE held on the top spot and become our SC UPSTATE 2024 ANGLERS of the YEAR. With this accomplishment, they earned their berth to the 2025 FOM Nattional event on Lake Murray.
Today, 1st place was "handled" by DANNY ASHLEY & BLAKE RIDDLE who had two twin 5.46 lb Bass (big fish of tx) that helped them get a 23.22 lbs sack, and over $2,500 in winnings from today.
Standings are up.
Looking forward to 2025!!
