What a GREAT day Saturday. We had 8 teams ready to go at safe light. Weather was a little cloudy, little wind mixed in with some spotted showers. We had 7 teams weigh in fish. Big fish honers went to the team of Eli Brindley and Nathon Peay at 3.33. 1st place with 5 fish went to Zeke Long and Harry Smith with 10.96 pounds. 2nd place with 5 fish went to Jase & Robert Brownlee with 10.91 pounds.
My wife Rosie set up the food table about 12:30. The rain started about 12:45 and the food went back in the car. We had a wet weigh in and then the rain stopped. The subs, chips and cookies stayed dry. Thanks Rosie for your help.
We then had a short devotionial. We learned a Bible verse. Genesis 1:1. In the begaining GOD created the heavens and the earth. God is the creator. Then we talked about Ephesians 6:1. Children obey your parents and parents teach your chldren about God. We then give away some prizes.
What a wounderful group of young men. Such a blessing to be able to fish with them and there partners. May GOD BLESS them as they grow up. Hope to see you all and more on June 1st on Old Hickory.
