The last stop of our 2024 Fishers Of Men National Trail season here in the West Virginia Division. This 6th event, was Chautauqua Lake again, which is our trail’s favorite place. The weather was great and the fish were eating! EVERY team caught a limit!!! As a director, I truly wanna see everyone enjoy themselves and always pray for everyone to catch a limit and this lake has done this twice for us!! A lot of personal best moments happened this weekend for several anglers and teams! Some awesome bags once again reigned above 20 lbs to place in the top 3 spots! Some giant smallies were brought to scales all over the fields lineup as well as some big largies! Adam Morlock and Jimmy Moslak brought is an impressive bag weighing 23.18 lbs anchored down with a 6.61 lb largemouth and another 5.5lber to boot to take 1st place! This was their biggest bag ever weighed in an event! Myles Pugh and Zach Ward dropped 22.55 lbs on the scale with all smallmouth and a 5.84 lber was their best one in the bag with a 5.26 lber behind it! This was also their best bag of smallies ever to be weighed in a tournament as well! Congrats guys!! Jonathan and Tyler Thompson from 7 Rivers Marine, LLC brought in 21.61 lbs with a 5.56 lber to to not only finish 3rd place but to also secure the Team Champions for Points Leaders for the year as well!!! This landed them a seat to National Championship on Lake Murray in SC next spring!! Great job guys!! During the 2 days of events on Chautauqua Lake in New York, we weighed almost 25 bass over 4.5 lbs in! About a 15 over 5 lbs! Despite the weather plus the intense algae bloom and spraying, the Lord blessed us! Several anglers caught their personal best big fish as well-some small and some largemouth! Chris Johnson caught in practice a 6 lb 5 oz smallmouth I weighed for him due to his scales batteries being dead which became his new personal best smallie! Absolute giant smallmouth! Thank you to all who came and fished the trail this year! Truly blessed to have a great group of Anglers that support, travel and help out in the trail!
