“3rd Day Redemption

After our Championship Day blast-off is completed, we allow the 3rd Day Redemption angler to blast-off.  Looks like we had around 30 boats, give or take, to stay around to try and redeem themselves and take home a little cash too.  Boat #179 Cameron Lineback/Porter Laird from North Carolina Piedmont took 1st Place with 15.79 from their 5 fish limit.  Boat #145 Tanner Lindler/Joseph Frierson from South Carolina Low Country finished 2nd with a nice 13.67 pound bag.  Taking 3rd Place was Boat #186 Travis Love/Corey Ruff from Arkansas Central  with 13.61 pounds.  Our 4th Place was Boat #34 Brady Kimbrell/Justin Martin from South Carolina Upstate with 13.12 pounds. Finishing in 5th Place was Boat #167 Alvin Miller/William Carpenter from Mississippi North & Tennessee West with 12.96 pounds.

Day 3 “Championship Day

Championship day started off with a beautiful early morning sunrise shared with our LIVE singing of our National Anthem by our National Chaplin, Kelly Barnett.  After our prayer, we started the blast-off, where 39 of the “best of the best” FOM National Anglers headed out.  Everyone was waiting to see which two teams were going home with the two BassCat prize boats.

As each team returned, we started weighing 11th - 39th Place in whatever order they made it to our official bump sink.  Afterwards, we had the leaders of that flight sitting in our two “hot seats”.  

As our Top 10 waits at the tanks, sitting in our “hot seats” are Boat #66 Brad Webb/Danny Ferk from Virginia East with their three day total of 57.70 pounds and 11th Place finish.

Next in the seats were Boat #73 Nelson Walker/Darryl Starkey from South Carolina Low Country.  They struggled a little today only bringing in 14.45 pounds for Day 3’s weight, but can hold their heads high with their 10th Place finish overall and a three day total of 58.18 pounds.

Finishing 9th with a three day total of 58.43 pounds is Boat #55 Lex Costas/Ben Lee from South Carolina Low Country.  Costas/Lee were a few pounds off their tournament average with a daily total of 18.86 pounds.

Boat #64 Darrell Shull/James Vining from South Carolina Low Country rolling in with 22.24 pounds for 3rd Place on Day 3’s weight was enough for a 8th Place finish bringing their three day total up to 60.10 pounds.  

19.15 pounds on Day 3 was good enough for 7th Place overalll for Boat #117 Tucker Veronee/Landon Gramling from South Carolina Low Country with their three day total of 60.53 pounds.  

Finishing out 4th Place on day 3 with 21.09 pounds Boat #155 Jonathan Botts/Wayne Botts from  South Carolina Upstate ran up the leader board to 6th Place with a 3 day total of 61.32 pounds.

Rounding out our three day Top 5 with a daily weight of 19.91 pounds was Boat #119 Wayne Frierson/Ronald Mueller from South Carolina Low Country taking 5th Place with a 3 day total of 63.52 pounds.

Weighing in a day 3 bag of 20.55 pounds gave Boat #62 Chad Spiva/Mark Hardin from Georgia North a daily 5th Place finsh but put them in 4th Place for the tournament with 65.56 pounds.

Bringing in 19.36 pounds for a daily weight was enough for Boat #20 Lucas Murphy/Will Alewine from South Carolina Low Country to grab 3rd Place in the tournament with 65.63 pounds.

A very consistent 20+ bag per day for Boat #183 Garrett Geouge/Mike Grogan from Virginia East. Their day 3 total of 24.38 pounds rolled them all the way up to 2nd Place with a 3 day weight for the tournament of 67.22 pounds and taking ownership of the 2nd Place prize of a new BassCat Boat.

Our 2025 National Champions with a daily weight of 24.61 pounds and a daily average of over 4.5 pounds per fish took possession of the 1st Place prize of a brand new BassCat Boat.  Boat #97 Jason Burroughs

Darren Ashley from South Carolina Upstate now sits on the Top as the best of the best FOM Teams and yearly bragging rights with a whopping three day total of 68.49 pounds.
