Lake Russell 2025

Lake Russell 2025 is offcially in the books. Although the threat of severe weather had folks nervous all week long, we were blessed that the storms held off long after we locked the trailer up and headed home. As God ALWAYS provides, He really showed us His love and shared His blessings by using Pleasant Grove Baptist Church to host our event. I know brother Darryl doesn't expect any recognition, but when I asked for his help, he never blinked an eye and said "We got it!" Pastor Chris Pritchett and his team at Pleasant Grove Baptist made this event spectacular. The brisket was some of the best I have ever tasted. Darryl really knows how to cook. The service was amazing as we had a time of worship music and special word from the Lord. Every person at Pleasant Grove went above and beyond to make us feel loved and welcomed. GA North cannot thank you enough!!

Lake Russell definitely gave up some monsters. We had 32 teams fish the event and it took 14.51 to get a check. As I think the norm is these days, we had a couple of young guns get in the derby and really set the bar pretty high. Cooper Wilson and Rodney Elliot cracked the code and brought 23.36 to the scales with a kicker lip weighing in at 6.87!! Great job fellas. But let's be sure to give God all of the the Glory!!

This wraps up round 3 of the 2025 season and we will be returning to Lake Lanier for the second time this year. I expect some seriously big fish to show themselves. Please make sure to get signed up ahead of time. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
