The District 13 Championship kicked off Thursday night at The Chapel where thanks to The Buffalo Sports Commision and James Adler our anglers enjoyed a meal of Bar-B-Que Chicken, mac and Cheese and Cole Slaw. After the meal National Director Al Odom shared a message from Ephensians 2 about Grace and how Jesus paid the debt we owe for our sin and credits His rightouness to us when we accept His free gift. There wee several decisions made! Special thanks to Pastor Leroy for opening up their awesome facility for us!

Day 1 dawned with Light winds and sunny skies which allowed our anglers to have free run of Lake Erie and the abundant Smallmouth this area is known for. The Day 1 weigh-in did not disappoint as all teams returned with a limit! Leading the way was the team of Doug Florkowski and Joe Lis who weighed 22.50 lbs. Sitting in 2nd is the team of Bryce Poulin and Kyle Tilton who weighed 20.47 lbs. Coming in 3rd on Day 1 was the team of Randy and Deb Gabel with 20.18 which included the Day 1 Big Fish a 6.24 lb Brute that Deb caught.
