SC Upstate had 28 Teams competing in our 2nd difisional event on Lake Greenwood today.

The Friday night meeting was hosted by Belview Baptist in Laurens at a facility located on the lake called DISCIPLE's TRAIL.  We gathered outside on a beutiful 70 degree evening in February and enjoyed a meal of chicken and BBQ prepared by BIG BOYS BBQ.  It was a great evening of fellowship.

Our Speaker, Adrian Despres delivered an energetic message about a deeper understanding of the bible verse John 3:16.  He took us on a journey back in the old testament to when the Israelites were 38 years into their 40 years of excile to help us better comprehend where the word "beleive" comes from in the most familiar verse in scripture.  Recolecting the time when the Moses put the serpent on the staff (snake on a stick) and the people could only be saved if they BELIEVED enough to look upon the snake.  That was the message that was intended for YOU and I as we can be SAVED if we BELIEVE on the truth of who we are (sinners) and who Christ is (our savior on the Cross).  Do you KNOW Him today?

Saturday morning was another great day for February and our anglers enjoyed a warm partly overcast day on the water.  It proved to be a little tougher with the warming conditions than recent colder weather fishing on Greenwood.  

Congratulations to WESLEY SKINNER and WILLIAM ASHLEY on the win with a total weight of 19.46 lbs and 7.69 lb Kicker.  That bagged almost $3,000 total winnings.
