Uniting Anglers in Faith and Fellowship: Indiana North and South Divisions' Combined Tournament at Geist Reservoir
On Saturday, April 19, 2025, the Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail witnessed a remarkable gathering as the Indiana North and South divisions united for a combined bass tournament at Geist Reservoir in McCordsville, Indiana. The day was marked by camaraderie, spiritual reflection, and competitive angling, all set against the backdrop of challenging weather conditions.?
Weather Conditions:
The Angerls had to see a brief delay in the start due to high winds recorded in the upper 80's. Despite the rain at the 8 am take off the anglers were not detered. Anglers faced a day of overcast skies with intermittent light rain. Temperatures hovered around 62°F, accompanied by winds reaching up to 17 mph. Despite the less-than-ideal weather, participants remained undeterred, showcasing their resilience and dedication to the sport.?
Fellowship and Spiritual Gathering:
The event commenced with a heartfelt gathering hosted by Honey Creek Tackle, where members from both divisions shared a catered meal, fostering a sense of community and unity. South Division Chaplain Marshall Tucker opened the meeting with a prayer and delivered an inspiring message, emphasizing the core values of faith, fellowship, and fishing that underpin the Fishers of Men organization.?
