The West Boggs Division of the Firefly Weeknight Series started the 2025 season on March 18.
On a very warm (for March in Indiana) evening, the skies were clear and the wind was blowing. Condtions were nice for being outdoors but not great for catching fish.
We began with our meeting on the bank and avery powerful message from our Chaplain, Ron Maxwell. Ron challenged all of us to trust in God not ourselves, even when things seem to be falling apart around us.
Then 11 boats began their search for the elusive Springtime West Boggs fish.
Only 6 teams wer able to find keeper size fishby weigh-in time. and only one team was able to catch a limit.
Congratulations to our winners, Clinton Yeary and Chase Hall. They had a five fish limit weighing 14.27. Coming in second was Ron Maxwell and Joe Moon. Ron and Joe had three fish that weighed 9.49.
Big fish honors went to Tristan Wagler and Stan Kemp when they brough in a fish that weighed 5.92.
