Jordan and Smith win Cherokee!!

Saturday morning the Fishers of Men gang awoke to partly cloudy skies and warm breeze blowing across the lake.  Just before a beautiful East Tennessee sunrise Ronny Jones delivered a short devotional.  After thanking our many sponsors we sent all 27 boats on there way to cast for cash.

First place went to the team of Brian Jordan and Michael Smith who came to the scales with a mix bag of fish weighing in at 15.72 pounds.  Brian and Michael reported running the Mercury powered boat all over the lake to bring back their winning bag of fish.  This team used spinnerbaits on their Dixie Custom Rods to catch their fish out of shallow water.  This team is sponsored by Mercury,  Dixie Custom Baits, Tote Rite and White Pine Marine.

Second place went to the team Shaun Ramsey and Dustin Bucker 15.30 pounds. This team reported fishing around the lower end of the going as high as point 10.  They reported fishing main lake point using a swimbait all day long.  Shaun and Dustin said they caught over 25 smallmouth to cull up to their second place bag.

Third place went to the team of Eugene Randolph and George Gaylon who came to the scales with 14.51 pounds of smallmouth bass.This talented team stayed on the lower end of the lake using a spinnerbait to catch their fish from rocky area in shallow water.  This team is sponsored by Lunker Lure and Hawg Caller.

Lunker of the tournament went to the team of Brian Scates and Stanley McLemore.   Their beautiful largemouth bass hit the scales at 4.32 pounds.  Stanley was slow rolling a spinnerbait in deep water when the lunker struck his lure after a short battle was safely neated by Brian.
