What a wet way to start our season. Plans were to get in water and have devo and go over rules to blast off at safe light. While most had gotton in the water a storm came up just to our north and we had a small shower. I had our devotionial reading the Fishers of Men Mission Statement and telling about How GREAT it was that JESUS BLOOD CAN CLEANSE EVERY SIN. That your soul is worth more than any fishing tournament. I stated that severial of us looked at rader and when this blew through in about 10 minuites it looked clear for a while. I could not have been more wrong. About 15 miniutes after we blasted off it rained, hailed, lighting was all around. The hail lasted about 5 miniutes and the rain lasted 8 hours with lightning all around. God Blessed us in that all that went out came back in safe. We had 26 teams and paid 5 places. The team of Larry Morgan and Bryan Biggers won with 18.08, 2nd place was Jeremy Ethridge and Jay Melton with 17.41, 3rd was Robert Brownlee and Kent McAfee with 15.07, 4th was Craig Muller and David Prentice with 14.10 and 5th was Willis Peterman and Tayler Peterman with 13.06. Big fish honers went to the team of Chase Morgan and Teddy Rediker with a 6.18 large mouth. I was told severial times "YOU ARE NOT A WEATHER MAN". I AGREE. Thanks to all for helping and being understanding as this was my first tournament as director.
