Day two of the District 8 Championship on Dardanelle started out with overcast skies much cooler temperatures and windy, white capping conditions. The skies cleared and the winds calmed, making for sunny blue bird conditions creating another extremely tough day on the water! Weigh-in for day two was not much better for the field than day one, 19 teams had 3 fish or less by the end of the day and again, only 2 teams had a full 5 fish limit. This time team Cooper / Dunning managed 5 keepers totaling 10.25lbs. Team Isley / Isley also had a full limit of 5 fish weighing in at 11.67lbs, giving them a 2 day total of 19.70lbs, good enough for an overall finish of 2nd place. Team Smith / Pullium only managed 4 fish on day 2 totaling 10.78lbs, but was enough for the WIN! Team Manuel / Austin only had 3 at the end of day 2, but had big bass for the tournament of 4.73lbs, which help secure 3rd place over all. Over all it was a tough event for the fishermen, only 6 teams managed over 10lbs in 2 days. Most of the fish were caught on jigs, sinkos, and spinnerbaits.
