Our 3rd stop on the trail was today at Cheat Lake just outside of Morgantown, WV. Thunderstorms rolling thru over the last 24 hours into rain showers this am I feel had the fish all messed up. Water temps in the low 80s, followed by rain and a falling pressure system never are good mixes.
Congratulations to Dustin Dennis and Samantha Hepner for taking 1st place at 5 Lb 13 oz with 4 fish and also Big Fish at 2 lbs 10oz. Pocketed 754$ with Bonus Bucks, big fish and 1st place.
Following up in 2nd place was Ronald Woodford and his son Josh. They had 4 fish as well for 4 lbs 7 oz cashed 361$ total with Bonus Bucks and 2nd place.
3rd place finishers Gettin Bit Fishin Team Jordan Lanham and Ryan Lattea with 3 fish at 3 lbs 13 oz.
10 boats fished today, not one team caught a limit and it was a grind!
Next event is out of Barcelona, NY on Lake Erie Friday, Aug 27th. Immediately the next day, Saturday Aug 28th, we travel 30 miles East to Chautauqua Lake. Gonna knock 2 events out on a Friday and Saturday.. hope for great weather and some everyone catches great bags to end the season!
