Marlowe & Marlowe Top 68 teams on Santee

The brother duo of Justin and Jordan Marlowe have finished 2nd in more SC Lowcountry Tournaments than they'd like to remember. Well Saturday they finally got over the hump and claimed the win against a stout 68 boat field with a limit weighing 25.14 lbs. They did it without a fish over 6 lbs which just shows the qualify of fish they were on. For their efforts they took home almost $4000

Finishing 2nd was the always tough team of Brent Riley and Nate Burgess whose limit tipped the scales at 24.58 lbs. They took home almost $2000 for their runner-up finish.

In 3rd place was the team of James Woods and Harold Fields who brought 20.41 lbs to the scales earning them a $1200+ payday

In 4th were newcomers Colton Parrott and Jackson Denny with 20.19 lbs.

Rounding out the top 5 was the team of Ken Ellis and Chuck Howard with 19.23 lbs

Young guns Tucker Veronee and Tyler Reese finished 6th with 19.20 lbs.

On the way back to the weigh-in the team of Don Pendarvis and Bobby Gibbs struck a stump knocking the motor off and into the boat and ejecting both members. Fortunately Bobby was not injured but Don sustained some pretty serious injuries and had to be airvacced to Charleston.

I'm happy to report that Don is doing much better and should make a full recovery. Thanks to all of you for your prayers for Don. I know that he and his family really appreciate that. Hopefully we will be able to have Don back with us before the end of the season.
