2021 Berkley Team Series District 9 Championship

The District 9 Championship kicked off at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Glasgow on Thursday night where the ladies of the church treated our anglers to a scrumptious meal complete with more homemade deserts than our anglers could handle. Pastor and former FOM Director Jeremy Atwood brought a great message comparing our weigh-in in the fishing tournament with God's final weigh-in for us. He shared that God's weigh-in is just and the only way for us be judged as keepers in God's eyes were if were to be judged as perfect because of the Blood of Christ paying our debt. Several important decisions were made.
Friday morning dawned clear with light winds on Barren River. Our anglers were expressing how tough fishing was but as usual several teams caught solid bags.
Leading the charge on Day 1 was the team of Ethan Snyder and Kyle Ramer who brought a 13.96 lb bag to the scales
In 2nd was the team of Phillip Brinegar and Mike Walker whose limit weighed 12.35 lbs and included the Day 1 Big Fish at 4.06 lbs.
In 3rd was the team of Tim and Tom Leaonard with 12.28 lbs.
Coming in 4th on Day 1 was the team of Donnie Ingram and Ronnie Grant with 11.18 lbs
Rounding out the top 5 was the team of Bob Denny and Bowen Mcguffey who were just 1/100th behind 4th with 11.17 lbs
It took almost 10 1/2 lbs to be inside the Day 1 cut weight.
