CJ Johnston and Matt Stanley win on Tuckertown!!!
Curtis Cox brought God’s word to us Saturday morning.
John 1 tells us Jesus is the word and he is God.
John 14:6 “Jesus said to him (Thomas) “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.””
Todays “feel good” society thinks too much that “if I am a good person or I do good things, that’ll get me to heaven” I’m sorry but that’s just not true….
My thoughts of being good person…..I was not paving my way to Heaven thru my works.
Most people know that those who believe in Christ will be saved but some get offended that only people who believe in Christ find salvation.
You see Jesus is very clear & emphasizes that the only way to The Father is thru Him. “No one comes to The Father except through me.”
To put things in perspective brothers/sisters. Where do you stand right now if Jesus Christ came back today? Are you ready?
No matter what sin you have in your life, Jesus is waiting with open arms for your repentance of that sin, for you to leave it all at the foot of the cross & embrace Him as your savior that you may receive eternal life!
Most of our anglers found Tuckertown to be very tough. Only 17 of our 57 boats brought in a limit.
With only one tournament left in our regular season the Points Championship is up for grabs.
The Team of CJ Johnston & Matt Stanley weighed in 20.21 lbs. and the Big Fish of the tournament (6.64 lbs.) to take 1st place and $4,500 in winnings. They reported catching all their fish shallow, except one.
2nd place went to the team of Chad Poteat & Maurice Freeze 20.04 lbs. and $1,787 in winnings. They reported catching their fish shallow flipping soft plastics.
Mike Chronister & Jeffrey Queen captured 3rd place with 18.30 lbs. and winnings of $1,352. They reported catching their fish shallow with Queen Tackle’s Tungsten Jigs.
4th place went to Zach & Les McLean with 18.07 lbs. and winnings of $935
5th place went to Mark Green & Jamie Benton their weight of 17.05 lbs. brought them $500 in winnings.
Rounding out the teams in the money was 6th place Tony Foster & Steve Sink with 16.97 lbs. 7th place was Zach Gooch and Derrick Taylor with 16.32 lbs. 8th place Josh & Neil Preslar with 15.32 lbs. 9th place Mark Murphy & Jarrett Albright 14.34 lbs. 10th place was Brian and Allen Robbins with 13.99 lbs. 11th place Matthew McBee & Bo Russell with 13.27 lbs.
- Mike Chronister and Jeff Queen won the $250 bonus for being the highest placing team in a new boat purchased from Rock Outdoors in the last 36 months.
- Our Legends bonus winner was Dave Snyder who will receive $150 Rock Outdoor gift certificate.
- The Team Out of the money drawing winner was Adam and Ashley Edwards they win a free entry into our next regular season tournament.
- Billy Wright’s grandson Hunter won the $50 Rock Outdoors bonus for the highest finishing youth under 16 yrs.
Our next tournament is at Badin Lake June 4th. This is our last regular season tournament. We will be having a drawing after the tournament for $1,000. If you fished all five tournaments your team will be in this drawing. We will have the drawings for our Team out of the money and Legends bonus. Our Points Champions bonus and trophy’s will also be awarded.
