Our 2nd event of the season was on Saturday morning, which was a nasty one. Temperatures were in the mid 30s. Anglers were faced with 20-30 mph winds, with periods of sleet and snow thru the day. The strong winds made it very difficult to fish in most places. Despite the dropping temperatures and high winds, Seth Comer and Mike Lester were able to put a 15.75 Lb bag together and to help secure that, it was accompanied by a 6.63 Lb Big Fish to go with it.  Mike Nichols and Mark Winn brought a 14.69 lb bag of fish to the scales to finish 2nd place with Rick Grant and Greg Spaulding finishing 3rd place with 14.25 Lb.  These Smith Mountain Lake locals showed us some great pre-spawn bags despite the cold front.   

 

Fishers of Men also held an Open event on Saturday as well for non-members to fish.  Local known young anglers, Elliot Pilson and Chad Pilson won the open with 19.65 lbs.
