A small field and tough conditions on a tough lake resulted in one of the most bizarre tournaments ever. Three teams each weighed one fish. Michael and Darin Witherup took the win and big bass with a 1.51 lbs. smallie. Rocky Liguori and Andrew Herman took 2nd with a 1.30 smallie, and Avery and Daun Nicholson took third with a 1.23 smallie. On a positive note, the weather stayed good and everyone caught fish. They were just short... or walleye... or white bass. The tournament was followed by pizza and drinks. A condensed version of a message by Dan Lian called "Where is Jesus when He is silent in the storm?" from Matthew 8:23-27 was shared. The main points were Jesus is still in your boat, He is still in control, and He is still up to something good! A reel, line, and crankbaits were among the prizes given out. There should be more and bigger fish caught at Mosquito on June 4th! See you there!
