Welcome to the 2022 Berkley Team Series District 9 Championship presented by Realtree Fishing and thanks to Kelly Burton and the London Laurel County Tourism who hosted the event.

On Thursday night we met at The Calvary Baptist Church 111 N. Mcwhorter Street London Kentucky. Pastor Jamie Maxey and the Church provided a nice meeting area and a great Italian dinner. After dinner Rick Brammer brought us a message which gave us insight into God’s desire that all might be saved not just the ones who know they need it but even the one lost sheep.

On Friday we launched the 26 boats at the Grove Park launch site on Laurel Lake. It was a cool morning with a slight breeze with warmer weather predicted as the day went on. At 3:00 pm the first boats started to return to the ramp. Many teams reported tough fishing but as always some found fish, The team of Matt Salmons and Kyle Raymer were the day one leaders with a five fish limit weighing 11.32 pounds. Scott Murray and Shane Thompson were in second with a limit weighing 8.19 pounds. T.J Wilcher and John Stomberger were third with 7.98 pounds. The big fish for the day was James and Coltten Hombree a bass weighing 3.16 Pounds
