Our 4th stop of the 2024 season kicked off Friday morning with a Devotion by our own "Big Fish" John Byrd III who challenged us with the idea of adapting our lives to come in line with God's will and purpose for our lives.
Our 53 teams faced a stiff breeze today with sustained winds in the 15-20 mph range with gust higher. But when the wind blows on Muraay the fish bite and bite they did!
Leading the pack and taking home almost $3500 was the Brother team of Justin and Jordan Marlowe which makes 2 years in a row that Team Marlowe has won the April Muray tournament. They weighed 22.17 lbs
Finishing 2nd was the team of Tyson Alvanos and Hamption Anderson who brought 20.97 lbs to the scales to take home over $1800
Coming in 3rd was the team of Nelson Walker and Darryl Starkey whose limit pushed the scales to 20.93 lbs
In 4th was the team of Tripp Fryar and Eric Hutchinson who brought 20.60 lbs to the scales including the days Big Bass anBrute that weighed 7.37 lbs
Rounding out the top 5 was team of Marshall French and Tripp Poplin who dropped 20.35 lbs on the scales
42 of the 53 teams weighed 5 fish limits and although it was a bumpy ride the fishing made for a great day!
