Colby Russell & Drake Bowers Win on Tillery and take home $4,910
Our morning started off with our very own Alan Thompson bringing God’s word. Alan spoke of the days leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus and how Jesus suffered and took on the sins of all that we may be saved. We are called to go out in this world and be a witness and help our neighbors showing the love of Jesus being there for them when they go through the struggles in this world.
It was a cold spring morning as we blasted off 87 boats for our second tournament of the season. Colby Russell & Drake Bowers took 1st place with 22.82 pounds and winnings of $4,910. They reported catching their fish on spinnerbaits. 2nd place went to the team of Cody Thompson & Ethan Cox with 18.21 pounds and winnings of $1,750. 3rd place went to the team of Greg Gooch and Gary Abbott with 17.91 pounds and winnings of $1,360. 4th place went to the team of Josh & Neil Preslar with 16.490 pounds and winnings of $700. The team of Roger Hoover & Scott Hamrick took 5th place with 15.38 pounds and winnings of $500. Rounding out the teams in the money was 6th place Bud Ratliff & Corey Ricketts. 7th Bryson Garland & Philip King. 8th Roberth Mixon & Robert Lambert. 9th Roy Barrow & Stephen Dyer. 10th Ladd & Landon Whicker. 11th Michael & Joshua Love 12th Michael Cribb & Richard Batson. 13th Mark & Audrey Bayse. 14th Glenn Sparrow & Chris Baumgardner. 15th Calvin McCaskill & Derek Crumbley. 16th Michael Kinard & Aaron Harwood. 17th was a tie with teams Chris Coble & Jim Long and the team of Zac Gooch & Derrick Taylor. Todd Treece caught a 7.06 pounder for the Big Fish of the tournament and winnings of $500.
I want to thank our staff for all their help and thank all of you for fishing with us. Our next tournament is April 27th on High Rock Lake. Our meeting will be on the water before blasting off.
The Team of CJ Johnston and Matt Stanley won the team out of the money drawing and will receive a free entry into High Rock.
Dean Talbert won Legends’ bonus of $150.
