This month we had our Friday night meeting at Grace Community Church in Corsicana, TX. we had a Fish and shrimp fry, and I don’t think anyone went home hungry. We had 30 in attendance for the meeting and 11 boats signed up to fish this event. Our message for the evening was brought by our Associate Director Jeff Hoff. Jeff came to me a couple months ago and asked if he could bring the message at one event because God had laid a message on his heart. Jeff spoke about street signs and how as we go through our life daily using street signs can relate to our faith and our walk with Jesus. I personally had never thought about it until this message. I know it’s easy to get caught up in life and sometimes our faith gets put on the back burner. But street signs are everywhere and if start thinking about each one as you drive around it can draw you closer to the lord or get you back in the right direction.
Our Point leaders John Irwin and Michael Crain going into this event had a five-point lead on Joey Hanna and Jason Barber and Jeff Hoff and Michael Bates. The weather turned out nice for this event and Joey and Jason came in with19.95# bag and won. They ended up tying John and Michael Crain for points after this event. The tie breaker then went to total weight for the season and Joey and Jason were able to be our point leaders for the season by a few pounds. Joey and Jason automatically qualify for the National Tournament next spring on Lake Murray.
