Our 5th event on the trail which landed us at Lake Chautauqua , NY. Despite the heavy rains and cloud cover for close to 6 hours, several great bags were brought in to cash checks. Will Sigmon and Mike Schoonover brought in 21.68 lbs of bass for the Win with also big bass of 5.86 lb largemouth! To add to his awesome bag, he had 2 big smallmouths in the mix and one was almost 5 lbs! Congrats guys! 2nd place bag was secured by John Thompson and Ed Evers with 19.10 lbs! They had 2nd biggest bass, a 5.55lb largemouth! Finishing 3rd place was Steve Panas and Philip Trouten Jr with 18.42 lbs. they too had a mix bag with some beautiful smallies! Kathryn Woodford landed her personal best bass today! Congrats!! 3.90 lb largie and she said it was a great fight and blast to land!! Several other good bags caught despite the conditions and rough bite the lakes been seeing due to the algae. The rain was tiresome at times, but is very much needed. Team Points Champion for year is a VERY close race! Aarron Riffle and Ryan C Smith are tied with Jonathan Thompson and Tyler Thompson and Ron Bothswell and Joey Kimble are hot on their tails by just a small 4 points!! It can truly be anyone’s win tomorrow!! These hammers gonna battle it out! Exciting and lots of pressure!! Thank you Lord for a good turnout!
