WHAT A GLORIOUS DAY TO ENJOY GODS CREATION
Fishers of Men, Alabama South had a beautiful morning to get all the competitors on the waters and fishing. Our Friday night meeting was held at Camden Baptist Church in Camden, AL. We had a great night and had 39 present at the meeting Friday night. Brother Chris talked with us about there is two ways to live. Our way, rebel and be judged for our sins or submit to Jesus as our ruler and be forgiven by GOD. Bro. Chris explained a unique approach to studying GOD’s work. You treat it as any other new hobby. You ease into it. Don’t jump in blindly. He suggested if you are just starting to read the bible to start with Mark, Luke or John. Ask the Lord to help with understanding, get in church and fellowship. Confess and turn your thoughts to GOD and the cross. Trust in the Gospel. Everything starts with GOD, our living ruler. Humans are the rulers of the world GOD created. When the world started we were in perfect harmony with GOD and now the world has a lot of evil. Now that we’ve rejected and rebelled, trying to be our own rulers. That is SIN. Our rebellion leads to tragedy. What will GOD do about our rebellion? He is not just going to let us destroy the world and rebel forever. What we do in this life matters. GOD is perfectly just. Man will die once and then comes judgment. Hell is where you will go for rebelling and not repenting of your sins and living by the word of GOD. But death is not the end. Because of GOD’s love, he sent his only begotten son to this world. Jesus perfectly obeyed GOD. He died for humanity. He took our punishment and paid our debt for our sins. He offered his perfect record of no sin. GOD arose Jesus from the dead and that was his approval. Jesus rules and is at the right hand of GOD. Jesus gives new life and will return. The ball is in our court. GOD’s word is good and he wants good for us. We should always be ready to talk with others about our Lord and how he can take all of our troubles away and that there is nothing we have done that we cannot be forgiven for. Thank You, Brother Chris for the words of encouragement and reminding us that we all need to rely on the Lords trust and righteous path. We had 1 rededication. At the end of the night we had 18 boats fishing on Saturday. We blasted the 18 boats off as soon as it was safe light. Congratulations to the Team of Brian and Brianna Moye who weighed in 11.69 pounds of bass to take 1st place with big bass of 4.07 pounds. Second place team of JR O’Gwynn and Dewey Johnson who weighed in 11.07 lbs. Third place went to the team of Roger Caldwell and Matt Caldwell with a weight of 9.69 lbs.
