Odom and Burns Smash them on Lake Murray!
The SC Lowcountry Division of Fishers of Men kicked off their 27th season Friday night at Chapin Christian Community Church where our anglers enjoyed some delicious Chili and cornbread cooked by Sharon Odom and her mom Betty Poulos aka Mapoo!
After the meal our anglers heard a challenging message from The Bass Chaplain Chris Wells about being all in with Jesus.
Saturday morning proved to be one of the coldest starts in SC FOM history with temperatures hovering around 20 degrees at Blast-off. The sunny skies did little to warm it up as the temperature topped out at 38 degrees, but as always somebody always manages to catch them and 19 teams returned to the weigh-n with 5 fish limits.
Topping the field by over 2 lbs was the team of Dane Odom and Ross Burns who brought 23.71 lbs to the scales. They reported catching their fish on Berkley Crankbaits. All together they took hom over $3300!
Finishing a strong 2nd was Terry Thomas and David Kneece whose limit pushed the scales to 21.57 lbs. They too reported catching them cranking. Earning them over $1700
Tyson Alvanos fished Solo but that didn’t stop him from a 3rd Place showing with 20.69 lbs good enough for a $1000 payday!
In 4th Place Terry Morris and Bobby Martin brought 20.54 lbs to the sales including the days Big Bass and nice 5.96 lb kicker. With Big Fish and some Bonus Bucks money they took home $950!
Rounding out the Top 5 was the team of Lucas Murphy and Will Alewine with 19.90 lbs.
took 18.78 lbs to finish in the money!
